1000 Islands Helicopter Tours offers an exciting new alternative to viewing the spectacular 1000 Islands, including trips to Boldt and Singer Castles. Conveniently located between Toronto and Ottawa on Highway 401 in Gananoque (exit 645), we are only a short flight away from the highest concentration of islands in the heart of the region!
There are 1,864 individual islands that make up the Thousand Islands region – to be considered in the official count an island must be above water all year round, have an area greater than 1 square foot, and support at least one living tree. The islands host thousands of visitors from all over the world every year – all drawn to the beauty and mystery of the region!
