1000 Islands Helicopter Tours is the regions top way to see the beautiful 1000 Islands. It falls under its parent company, Kouri’s Kopters Inc., which holds their own air operators certificate. Our beginnings started May 2014 in Gananoque. The fleet consisted of 2, R44 helicopters and only provided tours of the 1000 Islands.
Since our beginnings, the company has expanded to 5 tours and 4 unique packages that people from all around the world come to enjoy!
Each year thousands of people walk through the doors to experience the 1000 Islands from the air. Their experience is inevitably satisfying, seen through the achievement of the 2022 Gold Star Award of Excellence on Trip Advisor.
Along with this recognition, in 2016 the company’s 20-minute Boldt Castle Tour was considered to be one of Ontario’s signature experiences. By 2019, the 30-minute 2 Castle Tour was labeled a Canadian Signature Experience. Make sure to put a helicopter tour over the 1000 Islands on your must do list.
The company has grown to offer private charters, aerial photography, aerial video and air taxi as well as other aerial work.

Our Founder
MIKE KOURI
As the founder of both MB Kouri Insurance and Kouri’s Kopters, Mike’s ambition, focus and unshakable determination can only be equaled by his sincerity and love of life. Regretfully, Mike passed away in November, 2011. To us, he was more than a father or businessman; he was a man of unquestionable character and we will always hold dear his spirit of life and love for helicopters. Mike has left his indelible mark and continues to live on within every one of us here at Kouri’s Kopters. Our challenge is to continue his legacy of “Service Above The Rest” – not just as his company motto, but as his way of living.
Driving Force
EWELINA SOBALA-KOURI
Our beginnings could not have happened without beloved wife of Dave Kouri, Ewelina. She was our biggest advocate. She was the driving force behind our marketing and the best fighter in our corner for the tourism industry. Ewelina carved out her own path with her strength, determination and love of the industry. Regretfully, Ewelina passed away in the spring of 2017. We continue to channel her energy and passion for both the company and the region in pursuit of our role in the global tourism market.
